Mawi: Stop using my name to get dates
> Harian Metro reported that singer Mawi has sent out a warning to all impersonators: “Don’t use my name to get women.”

“It’s a lame tactic. Be a real man and use your own strengths to get what you want, and not hide behind someone else’s name for your own gain,” said the Akademi Fantasia 3 winner.

He gave this warning after discovering that certain irresponsible individuals have been using his name when picking women up through phone calls.

Mawi was obviously annoyed at finding out from the Malay tabloid that a man had tried to convince women that he was Mawi, and even dished out sweet promises.

“I am sick of such individuals doing this. They think that by ‘selling’ my name, they can get what they want.

“Most people today won’t fall for such lines anyway,” he said.

This article in the star online is hillarious. I admit, we men come up with a lot of schemes to get women, but to impersonate MAWI? How could someone stoop so low? Even for me, this is rather embarrassing. Not to mention shallow!

However, another thought came to mind. What sort of women would be gullible enough to fall for this?

And It Begins!

After countlesss clicks and scrolls on blogs and fotopages around the vast compounds of the cyber world, I came to a conclusion that I owe it myself to start this small project. I do not know till when I am going to stick to this project for long, or whether i have the balls to put what I've got in my head into writing, but I decided just to start something because I am that bored.

Another reason for this could be the realization of the level of intelligence I've got. I have always thought that I am an intelligent person. A person who is well read, very up to date and perhaps an intellectual (ini sangat masuk bakul angkat sendiri). However, a conversation with LadyJade (the sweet heart o mine) made me realize that I am neither of the qualities I thought I was. If I recall properly, it went something like this:

Me: The book I borrowed from you, Life of Pi, is quite boring lah.

LadyJade: Why do you say that?

Me: I don't know, it's just that he talks too much about his father's zoo. And I think the story is a bit too slow.

LadyJade: That book is considered modern literature dear. If you noticed most literatures are supposed to be slow. It is like abstract art, but with words. What the author wrote may not be the things that he wants you to visualize.

Me: (staring blankly)

LadyJade: Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Me: Damn, I was just reading it word for word. I am shallower that I thought I am............

LadyJade: Hahahahaha


Seriously, that was a wake up call. My mind and my thoughts may not be sharp enough to endure today's challenges. I need more information. I need to see things in different ways. I need to have better interpretation skills. Most importantly, I need to be more aware.

I think by having this blog could somehow increase my intelligence..................
